Workshops

WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS

Workshop materials and equipment, including sewing machines and overlockers, are provided as detailed in the workshop description. If you would like to bring your own sewing machine, it must be in good working order, and you understand its operation sufficiently to use it for the course work.

LOCATION

Workshops are held in our light-filled studio opposite Sugnall Walled Garden. Please be aware that the studio is on the first floor and is accessed by a flight of steps.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Please check the workshop dates carefully before booking. Full payment is required at booking to secure your place. Our online booking process is secure and accepts payments by credit or debit card.

Workshops are non-refundable. If you need to cancel 15 days in advance, you may transfer to another workshop, subject to availability. You can also transfer your booking to another person for the same date, by notifying us 24 hours in advance.

CANCELLATION BY US
A minimum of three people are required for the workshops to go ahead. If fewer than three people book, or in the unlikely event that we need to cancel a workshop, you will receive as much notice as possible and be offered a transfer to another date or a full refund. We are not liable for any other expenses or costs you may incur in the event of cancellation by us.

COURSES AND MULTI-DAY WORKSHOPS

Please ensure you can attend all the sessions. The courses are designed to build on the previous session’s work, and we are unable to provide catch-up time within a planned session if you miss an earlier session. If you require further tuition to complete your project private tuition can be booked.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear to practical classes. Sewing uses tools that can be dangerous. We will guide you on how to use the equipment safely, but please be aware you do so entirely at your own risk. You will be asked to complete a Disclaimer and Waiver Form before the workshop begins.

TIMEKEEPING

Each workshop has sufficient time allocated for you to complete your project. Please arrive a few minutes before the time advertised as we are unable to delay the start of the session or guarantee that we can provide the chance for you to catch up. If you are running late please inform us by phone before your lesson is due to begin.
