Small Group Tuition

Team up with a friend, or a catch up with a couple of chums to share sewing tuition in a small group. You could book a workshop session, or work on individual projects. It’s a fun way to spend time together and improve your sewing skills,  whether you’re absolute beginners, or an experienced dressmakers looking to develop advanced couture skills. Or if you just want to come and soak up the atelier ambience, make something pretty and drink lots of tea you’re welcome too!

How Long Are The Sessions?

As time flies by sessions are for a minimum of 3 hours. There’s no limit to the number of sessions you can book.

What Can You Do In A Small Group Session?

These are the sort of things that you could do in a private sewing class:

MASTER YOUR SEWING MACHINE OR OVERLOCKER

  • Perhaps a refresher on how your machine works and how to get the best functionality out of it?

  • Or have you bought a new machine and want to explore what it can do?

A SEWING OR DRESSMAKING PROJECT

  • Why not get master a particular sewing skill, or start or finish a specific project?

  • This could be anything from a simple craft project to help with a couture gown.

PROBLEM SOLVING

  • You know when nothing seems to go well with a particular project ? Or you get stuck on one step and end up abandoning a half made garment, and leaving it hidden in a bag at the back of the cupboard!

  • Sarah is happy to help solve a particular problem, and teach you the skills needed so that you never get stuck on the same step again.

PATTERN CUTTING

  • Would you like to make a pattern to your own measurements, and learn how to adapt it to make garments that fit you perfectly?

  • Do you have a favourite garment that you would like learn how to replicate?

SMALL GROUP WORKSHOPS

  • You can also cover the content of most of our workshops in a small group too. Let us know which workshop you are interested in and we can tailor the sessions to suit you.

How Much Does It Cost?

SHARED SESSIONS

Sessions could be shared with a friend, so a three hour session for two people would cost £130 ( or £ 65 per person) and a full days sewing for two including lunch costs £250 (i.e £125 per person.)
