Do I need to bring my own materials with me?

Workshops include all the materials you’ll need, though you are welcome to bring your own items to personalise what you make. Sometimes there is an option to purchase further materials, we will let you know in advance if this is the case. 

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine with me?

Full use of one of our sewing machines and overlockers is available to you together with sewing equipment. If you wish to bring your own sewing machine or overlocker, make sure beforehand that it is in good working order. 

Do you provide refreshments?

On half-day workshops at Sugnall tea and coffee will be provided, along with biscuits or homemade cake. Full-day workshops also include a light lunch at the Walled Garden such as soup and a roll, or sandwiches or a salad.  Water is available for you to drink too. 

Do you cater for specific dietary requirements?

Yes, most dietary requirements can be accommodated -  please let us know of any dietary requirements that you have on booking. If you have a severe food allergy please contact us prior to booking to ensure that suitable precautions are possible. 

Can children attend the workshops?

Our workshops are aimed at adults, but some sessions may be suitable for those aged 13 yrs and over, please get in touch to discuss suitability before booking. All under 16s must be accompanied for the duration of the workshop by a responsible adult.

I can’t make the date you’ve listed, can I do the workshop on another day?

Sometimes a workshop is listed with a  choice of dates, but if none of these are suitable and you’d be interested in a future date please let us know. Alternatively, you could gather a group of friends and book a craft party instead.

What happens if I need to cancel?

All workshops are non-refundable, but if you provide at least 10 days’ notice of the start date of the workshop to cancel a place, we are happy to transfer you to another workshop, space permitting and subject to availability.  If this is not possible your booking can be transferred to another person to attend. 

What Covid-19 safety measures are in place?

Safety is very important to us, and it’s important that if you attend a workshop you feel at ease too. If you have any symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone who has symptoms of Covid-19 please let us know as we’ll transfer your workshop to another date or offer an alternative.
