Sewing With Sheer Fabrics

A Couture Dressmaking Masterclass

I’m here to share my passion for dressmaking and help you to sew beautifully too! And I can't wait!

Do you dream of sewing your own designer wardrobe? Once upon a time I dreamed of a wardrobe of beautiful designer clothes, but knew that I did not have the champagne budget to afford it! So I learnt how to make it! Fast forward to today and here I am with an award winning couture business and a new sewing school.

So I'm so excited to launch more courses to my portfolio over the next few weeks. Spend a day at the atelier learning couture techniques and dressmaking tips of the trade to not just home sew, but create something truly amazing. Imagine all those compliments, when you wearing your handmade creation that looks like a designer garment!

  • How to sew narrow seams.

  • French and mock-French seams, and where and when to use them.

  • How to stabilise a neckline and finish with a  narrow machine hem.

Your new skills can then be transferred to many other dressmaking projects. Here are just a few ideas on Pinterest. The Spring and Summer Collections featured lots of inspiration for garments made in sheer fabrics, particularly Valentino, Armani and Dolce and Gabbanna !
